DBS Multiplier Account Interest Estimator

Calculate how much you will earn in interest this month from your DBS Multiplier account.

We build this tool for us to know how much more and where to spend to hit the next interest tier and if it’s worth it to spend that much.

Step 1: Enter your birth year.
Step 2: Enter your savings in the account.
Step 3: Enter the 'Income', 'Credit Card', 'Insurance', 'Investment', and 'Mortgage' field.
Step 4: View the results in the green table.

*We're still working on adding the other Multiplier options (mainly DBS PayLah! transactions) into the calculations.

The cells are locked for editing except those highlighted in bright yellow.

However, you will be able to view the formulas we used.

If you have any suggestions or feedback on how we can improve the formulas or calculations, do let us know in the comments below.

The interest calculated is based on our estimates of how interest are calculated by DBS.

The actual figures might not be exactly as per our figures, but we do not think that it would vary too far from it.

Check out our other tool: CPF Retirement Sum Estimator.

Explanations:

1. Current Interest Earned: the amount of interest you should be getting based on the current set of transactions you have entered.

2. Interest IF I Spend in 1 More Category: the amount of interest you should be getting if you spend in 1 more category in addition to the set of transactions you have entered.

3. Interest IF I Spend in 2 More Categories: the amount of interest you should be getting if you spend in 2 more categories in addition to the set of transactions you have entered.

4. Extra Spending To Hit the Next Spending Tier: As the interest are higher as your total eligible transactions increases, this shows the amount of extra spending you need to perform in addition to the set of transactions you have entered, in order to reach the next tier.

5. Interest IF I Hit the Next Spending Tier: the amount of interest you should be getting if you spend extra to reach the next tier.
